A leading New Zealand agribusiness, Landcorp Farming Limited, a New Zealand state owned enterprise, has 74 sheep and beef farms carrying a mixture of both and sometimes deer. They have in excess of 560,000 sheep producing 10,307 tonnes of sheep meat 2012/13.
